Recently, the NPIC project in Egypt successfully completed the summer internship training for local university students. 59 students from Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and the Higher Technological Institute of Suez successfully passed the assessment and completed the internship course after 1-2 months of on-the-job training. The participating universities sent letters of appreciation for the project’s successful collaboration.
During the internship training, the interns systematically learned the practical knowledge of oilfield development and management, ranging from the theory of oil and gas exploration to oilfield practical operations, from corporate operation and management mechanisms to project implementation, from geological reservoir research, drilling to oil and gas gathering, transportation, processing and export.Mustafa, an intern, excitedly said, "This valuable internship experience has been very rewarding. The detailed explanations, field visits, and hands-on activities have helped me deeply understand how theoretical knowledge is applied in oil and gas development. Many of the questions I had in class were also answered during the internship, which has boosted my confidence for future employment. I really hope to work for the NPIC Company in Egypt after graduation".
Since officially entering Egypt in 2014, the NPIC Company in Egypt has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities and supported the development of local education. The company has established cooperation with multiple Egyptian universities, acting as an internship base and offering numerous internship positions to local university students every year. The company also focuses on cultivating students' oil and gas development management abilities, practical operation skills and experience through a "one-on-one mentor-apprentice" model. Over the past 10 years, NPIC has provided more than 800 internship and job opportunities to 6 universities, receiving high praise from local government departments and thank-you letters from local universities multiple times, showcasing a positive image of Chinese enterprises and contributing to the smooth operation of the project.
